This contest is open to residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older. No purchase necessary. Winner need not be present to win. Employees and immediate families of employees (defined as spouse or children) of Delta Air Lines, Inc., their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion are ineligible. The same ineligibility applies to the independent accounting firm responsible for selecting the winner, their consultants, affiliates, contractors, their employees and immediate family members (defined as spouse and children). Additionally, no employees of the World Children’s Center (“WCC”) and The US 10K Classic or members of its Board of Directors, their immediate family members (defined as spouse or children) are ineligible to participate. This contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all federal, state, and local regulations. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
Winner will be responsible for all taxes and fees related to prize. Winner may not substitute or transfer prize. There will be no exchange or extension of prize past the expiration date. Winner may be required to complete, sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release.
By accepting the prize, winner agrees to release and hold Delta Air Lines, Inc. harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize or attendance at or participation in any activity associated with the contest. By participating in the contest, participants agreed to be bound by all the official rules of this contest.
Contest begins Monday, August 10, 2009 at 5:30 pm EST and runs through Friday, November 13, 2009 at 5:30 pm EST. No online and/or mail entries will be accepted after 5:30 pm EST on Friday, November 13, 2009. The drawing will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the World Children’s Center administrative offices, located at 6400 Highlands Parkway, Suite D, Smyrna, GA 30082. Winner will be notified within 5 business days by phone, certified-mail and email, as well as winning name will be posted on the World Children’s Center website for purposes of notification, advertising and promotion with further compensation. Winner will have 30 days from date of notification to claim prize. Should initial prize winner fail to claim prize by the designated time noted, subsequent drawings will be held until prize is claimed. Individuals may also submit an entry by completing a 3x5 postcard and mailing to: Delta Ticket Giveaway, c/o World Children’s Center, 6400 Highlands Parkway, Suite D, Smyrna, GA 30082. Entries that are ineligible or incomplete will not be permitted. Limit one 3x5 entry per household/email address. Neither the World Children’s Center nor any of its agents are responsible for lost, damaged, or delayed entries. Entries must be postmarked by Friday, November 13, 2009. The name of the winner will be disclosed as provided by law. A record of all submissions will be retained for four years. All entries become the property of the World Children’s Center. Winner will receive a First-Class Domestic Round-trip Delta Air Line Ticket estimated value of $2,000.00. It is the responsibility of the raffle winner to report prize winnings as income for tax purposes and the raffle winner is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations where permitted. The winner is subject to all applicable taxes. A letter to raffle winner will be provided by the World Children’s Center outlining the value of the prize won. The drawing is void where prohibited.
Participation in the contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional acceptance of the Official Rules and winning Grand Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all the rules and requirements set forth therein.
The World Children’s Center reserves the right, in its sole discretion to: cancel, modify, suspend, terminate and/or postpone the contest if factors beyond its reasonable control (e.g., fraud, force majeure events; newly enacted legislation; systems malfunctions, failure or difficulties) materially alters, impairs or prevents the administration, conduct, operation, or security of the contest; disqualify any individual that tampers with or disrupts the administration, conduct operation, security of the contest or otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules; and/or select a potential winner from all eligible entries received prior to any termination of the Sweepstakes. Any attempt by any individual(s) to tamper with the administration, conduct, operation or security of the contest may be guilty of criminal and/or civil law. Should such an attempt be made, the World Children’s Center reserves the right to seek damages from such individual(s) to the fullest extent permitted by law. The World Children’s Center failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of these rights.
The raffle winner, by accepting their prize, agree that the prize is awarded on the express condition that the World Children’s Center and its agents, representatives, and employees will not have any liability whatsoever for any losses and/or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, use or non-use of the raffle prize. The Raffle winner will be required to sign a liability release as it pertains to as well as a form accepting that prize.
World Children’s Center Tax ID# 58-2423464. Raffle is licensed by the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department August 2009 and valid through December 2009. Submissions will be maintained, controlled and placed in a secured file until drawing is held. An audit of submissions and selection process/drawing of the winning name will be performed by the accounting firm of Barnes, Broyles & Associates.
